Two organizations.
One mission.

Here's exactly how Butterfly Collaborative (US) and Butterfly Collaborative Initiative (Malawi) relate to each other — and what it means for your donation.

Butterfly Collaborative (US) (butterflycollaborative.org) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in the United States.

It handles fundraising, governance, legal structure, and financial oversight for Butterfly's global programs. Donations made here are tax-deductible for U.S. donors.

Butterfly Collaborative Initiative Malawi is a separately registered nonprofit operating under Malawian law. It manages the on-the-ground operations — the clinics, the feeding centers, the research programs in Malawi, and the community relationships. It is operationally and financially independent from Butterfly Collaborative (US).

The two organizations share a mission and collaborate closely. They do not share finances, governance, or legal structure.
