Diane Matsumoto, MD, Chairman

Dr. Diane Matsumoto (MD, FAAP) is the founder of The Butterfly Collaborative and a pediatrician with over 30 years of experience.

She is the founding partner and chief operating officer of TLC Pediatrics, a multisite pediatric practice in Phoenix Arizona.. She specializes in
treating children with mental health disorders and developmental disabilities.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Matsumoto has spent
over a decade leading international medical teams, establishing clinics, and developing research protocols and clinical guidelines. She is passionate about fostering collaboration among innovative organizations and has served on multiple advisory boards for both domestic and international non-profits for two decades and has served on the local children’s hospital care network board of managers.

Emily Flores, PharmD, Secretary

Dr. Emily K. Flores (PharmD, BCPS) is a family medicine pharmacist who lives in Johnson City, Tennessee, USA.

She is an associate professor of Pharmacy Practice and adjunct faculty of Family Medicine at East Tennessee
State University (ETSU), where she has been active in education, clinical practice, community service, and research since 2008.

Dr. Flores is Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy and provides collaborative patient care and management at multiple rural/underserved primary care clinics, while also serving at a variety of outreach events with community partners. She has served on 20+ medical outreaches in 10 countries where she has collaboratively developed evidence-based protocols and practices.

She strives to serve as a patient advocate and improve health equity in all settings. She coordinates multiple courses and regularly teaches on a variety of skill-based, pediatric, women's health, global health, geriatric, and endocrine topics while leading global and rural engagement activities for the ETSU College of Pharmacy. She is also adjunct faculty in the Physician's Assistant program at Milligan University.

Janis Blair, MD, Global Medicine Director

Dr. Janis E. Blair (MD) is a consultant in Infectious Diseases at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix Arizona since 1993, where she has been active in clinical practice, leadership, research and education.

She is a Professor of Medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Sciences and maintains dual-board certification in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and the American Board of Internal Medicine. She practices clinical infectious diseases medicine, with a focus on the endemic fungal infection coccidioidomycosis.

She has held several key leadership positions at Mayo Clinic, including Chair, Infectious Diseases and separately, Infection Control. She served as a member of the Executive Operations Team and most
recently as the program director of the Internal Medicine Residency program at Mayo Clinic. She has published more than 170 peer-reviewed articles and
book chapters.

Bobbie Legg, PhD, Mental Health Director

Dr. Bobbie Legg (PhD, LCSW) is an identified expert in trauma treatment (Diplomate, American Association of Traumatic Stress).

Dr Legg’s thirty-year career focuses on the treatment of child and adolescent survivors of childhood trauma and abuse. Dr Legg’s work includes working internationally in Africa, South Asia and South America, as well as with indigenous communities within the U.S. with youth facing displacement due to traumatic circumstances.

Dr. Legg specializes in using advanced psychotherapy techniques for trauma recovery with adolescents who have been identified as treatment resistant. Dr. Legg is a national and international speaker on trauma treatment and teaches at Arizona State University Graduate School of Social Work.

Drew Moffitt, MD, Maternal Fetal Director

Dr. Drew Moffitt (MD, FACOG) has been a board-certified infertility specialist since 1999 and is currently the director of Arizona Reproductive Medicine Specialist.

He is also an assistant professor at the University of Arizona and the director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. He is passionate about international women's health and has been the director of The Butterfly Collaborative’s cervical cancer screening teams for the last 5 years. He is actively involved in research and has an interest in HPV screening in low resource areas.
